Anders Seawright
PhD Student
I graduated with my Masters in ME 2024. I do research in soft robotics and other pneumatic/hydraulic devices. My specialty is in invention and development of high-pressure, high-force, non-leaking conformable pressurized devices. I design, model, prototye, fabricate, test, and analyze these devices.
My prior works include:
- high-speed pneumatic vine robots characterization - applications in projectile launchers and drug delivery devices
- burrowing hydraulic vine robots for saturated sand exploration - applications in pipe installation and burried object detection
- lightweight, high-pressure, high-force soft gripper devices - applications for negative-space and positive-protrusion grasping, including manipulation of delicate objects
