Nicholas grew up in Northern California and graduated from Duke University with a B.S.E in mechanical engineering in 2017. He is a NASA Space Technology Research Fellow and a NSF Graduate Research Fellowship award winner. His research focuses on the mechanical design of soft robots and mechanisms.
